This is my personal "life stack" of technologies and tools that I use on a regular basis to keep
my
life organized, productive, and (somewhat) sane. It's a mix of free/open-source software, commercial
products, web-based services, and hardware devices that I find useful in my day-to-day life.
Hardware
- MacBook Pro (M5, 24 GB, 1 TB Storage).
- iPad Pro (M2, 11-inch, 4th gen).
- My day job requires me to use an HP ZBook Firefly G8 Workstation Laptop.
- iPhone 17 Pro Max: I have "anytime upgrade"
on my account, so I update every year.
Productivity & Organization
My day job requires the use of Microsoft 365, so my productivity tools
there are limited to that suite
(Outlook, Todo, SharePoint). I do make use of old-fashioned EMACS and org-mode to
track time spent
on tasks and projects and measure their progress.
For personal productivity and organization, I rely on Apple's built-in apps (Calendar, Contacts, Reminders,
Notes) across my MacBook Air, iPhone, and iPad.
Communication
- Microsoft Teams at work. No choice. Pity me.
- WhatsApp seems to be what all of my personal
connections are using, so there but for
the grace of God go I.
- Email: iCloud Mail for personal use and Outlook for work-related communication.
Development & Tech
- Visual Studio Code: My primary code editor
for development work (both personal and in my day job).
- Raspberry Pi: For various home server projects
and IoT applications.
Entertainment & Leisure
- Apple Music has hands-down had the best audio
quality. Most of the time if I need to
share a track or album on social, I'll do that from Spotify since most of the people I know don't pay
for Apple Music.
- SoundCloud: For discovering
new music and sharing my own creations.
- I have a HomePod in my workspace/living room and a HomePod mini in the
bedroom.
- Nikon P1100
long-zoom camera.
- Insta360 X5 360° action camera.
